i don't know if this is true or not, but i've heard that kc-raceway has lost all of their big races and that they will be closed this year. Has anybody heard anything like that?

To everyone wondering. K-C Raceway Added to O'Reilly All Star Late Model Schedule Yesterday at 8:39pm Alert Moderator For Immediate Release K-C Raceway Added to O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Schedule Camargo, IL (March 13, 2009) - Jason Shank – O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director As the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series inaugural event at Lernerville Speedway (Friday, April 17, 2009) draws near, series officials have announced that K-C Raceway, located just outside of Chillicothe, OH, will host four ASLMS events during the 2009 season. Jeff Schrader, K-C Raceway’s brand new owner, just finalized the purchase of the famed southern Ohio high-banked oval as of 1 P.M., this afternoon. “This is a dream come true for me.” Said Schrader in a news release sent out by K-C Raceway Public Relations Director Scott Wolfe. “It is an exciting day for me and my family. A lot people share in the excitement and hopes I have for this season and many more to come at K-C Raceway. I can't wait to get started." The first ASLMS trip to 'Ohio's Fastest 3/8 Mile Dirt Track' will be a $5,000 to win event and will be added on to the series’ inaugural weekend, Saturday, April 18 with the second date, also a $5,000 to win event, coming on Saturday, May 23 and will precede the $7,000 to win 'Grizzly' at Central PA Speedway. The third $5,000 to win event will be held on Saturday, September 19 while the fourth and final ASLMS event will be one to remember as it has been dubbed the "1st Annual Dirt Track World Cup Late Model Classic" presented by K-C Raceway and will be held October 1, 2, and 3. More details on the "Classic" will be available shortly. Each event will be full ASLMS Championship Points Events. "We're extremely excited to be going to KC Raceway," Series President Guy Webb stated, "Adding a facility like KC Raceway to our schedule is just a piece of the overall component in what we are trying to build here however, with the ASLMS being the only series with a $5,000 to win, $1,000 for tenth, and $400 to start purse, a national sponsor, and a lucrative points fund that includes a tow package for our top ten drivers, we were unable to fully come to terms with Potomac Speedway and Natural Bridge Speedway and we have regretfully removed both events from our schedule." "Going from Lernerville Speedway to KC Raceway makes for a fantastic inaugural weekend for the ASLMS," Series Director Jason Shank exclaimed, "both facilities are fast, wide, and action packed. K-C in front of the 'Grizzly' at Central PA Speedway in May adds luster to that weekend and the September date will serve as a bit of a test session for the "Classic" at the beginning of October. I'm sure drivers and fans alike will be thrilled with what we have in store for the "Classic". A reminder to all drivers that are planning on or thinking about competing with the ASLMS full time in 2009, please visit the series website and download the Driver Information and Membership Forms located in the 'Team Menu' section of the webpage, complete them and send to: All Star Circuit of Champions, Inc. 215 W.
